Absolutely. Our menu features delicious vegetarian sides like our creamy Coconut Beans and sautéed greens, as well as several vegetarian accompaniments, including Ugali, Fried Plantain, and Mash Potatoes. Please inform your server of any dietary needs, and our chef will be happy to assist.

What's the story behind the restaurant's name and founder?

Shujaa. This is a Swahili word meaning 'warrior'. As immigrants to the U.S.A., we all face numerous struggles to get by in this new environment, with all the changes and challenges we face. Shujaa represents the warrior in us, the ability to stand up and stand our ground as we strive to be a success in all that we undertake. A warrior movement representing numerous immigrants willing to go the extra mile to live the American dream.
